Just before the approach to the Terminal 21 shopping mall is the short street that is Sukhumvit Soi 17.
It doesn’t look much; and, to be honest, it isn’t a huge amount. During the day, there’s a few street food stands and a row of tuk-tuks, while a connecting subsoi to Soi 19 means that there’s a small amount of passing foot traffic.
While there isn’t much to speak of actually down the soi, there are a couple of things of note on the Sukhumvit Road next to Soi 17.

Robinson
Retail
Robinson is a popular Thai department store chain, and this branch on the corner of Sukhumvit Soi 17 is their Sukhumvit branch. It’s open daily from 10am until 10pm.
You can buy a variety of products and brands here, much like you can in any leading department store, while their website also offers online shopping.
McDonald’s
Fast Food
There’s a McDonald’s branch within the Robinson’s on the corner of Soi 17 that also do 24-hour online delivery.
If you’d prefer to eat in, they’re also open 24-hours with free WiFi available too.
Asia Books
Retail
Between Sois 15 and 17 is a branch of the popular Thai bookstore chain, Asia Books. It’s a relatively small shop but nonetheless popular thanks to its handy Asok location.
The store assistants will be able to check stock for you and direct you to other nearby branches if the book you want is not currently in stock.
