Also known as Soi Nana, Sukhumvit Soi 3 is one of the main thoroughfares of the Nana neighbourhood in lower Sukhumvit.

Hotels, restaurants, bars and street stalls abound here. After dark, you can expect the atmosphere and clientele to take a sleazy turn with “freelancers” (prostitutes) gathering in the area.

Soi 3 is very popular with Arabian tourists, which is reflected in the number of Halal and Middle Eastern restaurants there are on this street. We’ve included just one here as the real stars of the show can be found on neighbouring Soi 3/1.

Here are a few of the soi’s highlights:

Bamboo Pub

The Bamboo is a Sukhumvit Soi 3 stalwart that combines a restaurant, sports and shisha bar with a live music venue. They’ve been operating for well over a decade and are a popular stop-off for many people on the Sukhumvit nightlife trail.

They serve up fresh food daily, including Thai, Lebanese and Italian cuisine.

Hapa Spa

Hapa is one of Bangkok’s best spas and beauty salon, offering up treatments like massage, body scrubs, facials, infrared thermal saunas and hydrotherapy.

They’ve also got a restaurant and bar onsite.

Zenith Sukhumvit Hotel

The Zenith is one of Soi 3’s best mid range hotels, equipped with a spa and impressive rooftop swimming pool.

It also boasts free WiFi, sauna, steamroom, hot tub, a pool bar and in-house restaurant.

Bumrungrad International Hospital

As the best hospital in Asia and one of the top 10 hospitals for medical tourism in the world, you can be sure that you’re in safe hands at Bumrungrad.

It has a huge main facility, complete with a medical heliport, and one of the world’s largest private sector outpatient clinics. They treat over 1.1 million patients per year, from over 190 different countries.

Prestige Suites

A Halal hotel in the heart of the Arab district that’s family friendly, clean and comfortable.

As well as a Halal-certified restaurant and no alcohol in the minibar, Prestige also provide salaath (prayer) facilities.

A Middle Eastern restaurant on Soi 3 that also serves up Indian, Lebanese, Mediterranean and Asian cuisine.

Grand Inn Hotel

A low-cost hotel near the top of Sukhumvit Soi 3 that sports 24 guestrooms with a modern design.

There isn’t a huge amount by way of facilities, but there is an all-day restaurant and a party every evening, featuring wine from different vineyard labels.
