Isolated thunderstorms are expected to hit Bangkok and much of Thailand in the next few days, as the country gears up for the imminent hot season.
From Thursday 24 March to Sunday 27 March, a moderate area of high pressure will extend from China causing thunderstorms and strong winds across the Northeast and Central regions of Thailand, report the Bangkok Post.
The easterly part of the northern provinces are also expected to be affected.
Blustery winds are expected to hit the south of the country while two-metre high waves are expected to be spotted in the lower Gulf of Thailand.
The Thai Meteorological Department‘s 7 day forecast for Bangkok is currently showing a likelihood of an afternoon thunderstorm on Friday 25 March.
