Every couple is different.
We all know that, so why does every hotel and restaurant put on the same fancy-schmancy romance package every Valentine’s Day? With a few exceptions, they’re essentially the same old menu with a welcome drink and a red and pink dress code.
A few of Sukhumvit’s more innovative establishments are breaking the mold this year, however, and putting on some Valentine’s celebrations with a difference.
2016 is the year of inclusion so it’s about time there’s a Valentine’s party for everyone – even the singletons. Even the bloody vegans are at it!
Check out these unique Valentine’s offerings if you’re looking for something perfect just for you in Bangkok.
For the party animals
If a traditional restaurant dinner just doesn’t quite cut it for you, why not check out the dinner slash party at Nest Rooftop in Le Fenix hotel?
There’ll be a four-course feast including a bottle of prosecco for ฿4,500 per couple with live entertainment from OUT OF TUNE, followed by DJ sets from DJs Monte, Anthony Garner, Keigo and Evan Saxman.

For the buffet hounds
OK, OK… We know we just dissed hotel Valentine’s Day packages, but this one is pretty special.
We all know a couple whose love sprouted over their combined passion for buffet strategy (Ed: Avoid starchy carbs, head straight to the seafood and meat for maximum value feasting). If that’s you, the special buffet on offer at the Westin Grande is hard to miss.
They’re promising oysters, gravlax, ceviche, raclette, lobster bisque, ravioli foie gras, whole grouper, lamb rack, Jerk lamb, surf ‘n’ turf, pralines, crepes suzette, soufflé and a whole lot more in their romantic feast.
The prosecco’s on ice to welcome you while each lady is gifted a rose. If you’re lucky, maybe you’ll win one of the stays on offer at the Sheraton Hua Hin or The Westin Sira Bay, Phuket.

For the music lovers
If you prefer your romance served with a side dish of EDM, the Mövenpick Hotel Rooftop is the place to be on Sunday, from afternoon until late.
Thailand’s finest will be entertaining you, starting with TJ Tiesjungle and ending with a back to back (B2B) session with Sunju Hargun and Nakadia.
The venue’s capacity is for 600 people but there are 20 VIP sofas available for couples looking to enjoy the music in a cosier fashion.

There’ll be free BBQ glazed ham between 7pm and 9pm (because, why not?) as well as some great drink offers on imported beer and Singha draught. Just make sure you sober up before returning to the missus…

If you’re a traditionalist and prefer to spend Valentine’s with your loved one across a carefully laid dinner table with a crafted feast afore you, then look no further than Scalini in the Hilton.
Chef Egidio is putting on a special Valentine’s a la carte menu together – think tiger prawns, Foie Gras Tagliolini, and maple glazed Kurobuta pork belly – with a dessert trolley too.
Your date will include a single rose, welcome drinks and live music.
