Whether that’s Thai food on a soi corner, a full English roast at the pub or some fine Indian gastronomy at the best restaurant in Asia.

And, of course, steak.

Finding the best steak in Bangkok can be a tough call: steakhouses have never been more popular in Thailand’s capital thanks to the huge variety of local and imported steaks, and the sheer number of international restaurants on the foodie scene here.

Best Steak in Bangkok

It’s a tough old job, but someone’s got to do it. On this occasion, we’re delighted it was us.

Thankfully, we’re pleased to report that we found more than one place that’s worthy of being crowned the best steakhouse in Bangkok.

Some of these picks are pure, unadulterated steakhouses, while others are restaurants with simply a few fine cuts on their menu.

Cocotte

Phrom Phong

If a tomahawk Australian wagyu at Cocotte doesn’t get your mouth watering, then nothing else will.

The team prefer to source their produce from organic farms and food artisans, which helps to make their prime cuts of beef much tastier. As well as the mighty tomahawk, you can select from a tenderloin Australian wagyu, ribeye black Angus and wagyu rump steak.

Cocotte Farm Roast & Winery is situated deep in the Sukhumvit Soi next to the 39 Boulevard building.

As soon as you step inside, you’ll notice the buzzing vibe, impressive bar and be hit by aromas of various hot meats including chicken, lamb shanks, burgers and, of course, some of the best steak in Bangkok.

They also dish up salads and seafood, as well as plenty of sides to accompany your chosen meal.

The interior is split into two spaces with both featuring a rural-chic atmosphere, and there’s even a delicatessen corner where you can take home a selection of cold cuts and cheeses.

The U.S. Steakhouse Bangkok

Asok

From the moment you sink your teeth into a certified Angus beef New York strip loin, rib eye or filet mignon, you’ll be clued in on why this tucked away restaurant is so damn popular.

Your perfectly cooked steak comes with your choice of sauce, potato and vegetable, as well as any other side dishes you may fancy.

Located near coffee favourite Kuppa on Sukhumvit Soi 16, the US Steakhouse sports a relaxed atmosphere with sleek interiors and great service, perfect for enjoying a few delicious bites with your friends and family.

Whether it be the grilled lamb chops, pan fried sea bass or a simple soup and salad, The U.S. Steakhouse Bangkok also serve up various other hearty American appetizers, mains and desserts.

But really, you’re coming here for the steak.

Osito

Phloen Chit

What do you get when you combine tapas, American deli cuts and steaks? The answer is Osito.

It may technically be a Spanish restaurant, but there’s no doubt that it serves up some of the best steak in Bangkok.

All the food here tastes amazing but then there’s one thing that puts this place on our best steakhouse in Bangkok list. That thing is the dry aged txuleta tomahawk steak.

You may have to wait 30 minutes before it lands on your table, but trust us, it is well worth every second.

By using a charcoal smoker, the chefs at Osito have perfected the art of locking in sensational flavors and elevating their beef to a level that’s truly delicious.

If you can’t wait that long, you could dig into a Reuben deli sandwich or Spanish hot dog. Osito also has a fine selection of salads and rice dishes to tide you over until your next meal.

Rib Room & Bar

Nana

Many of Bangkok’s best hotels come equipped with an onsite steakhouse, and one of our favorites is the Rib Room & Bar on the rooftop of the Landmark Hotel in Nana.

Routinely included in Thailand’s best restaurant guides, the Rib Room & Bar offer five exceptional cuts of meat from sources including Matsuzaka, Thai-French and Australian grain-fed.

You can also request your steak be spit-roasted, char-grilled, cooked on a hotplate or in a wood-fired oven.

The restaurant itself is half the appeal here: it’s decked out in classic red and black interiors with an open kitchen and incredible panoramic views over Bangkok from the 31st floor of the hotel.

You’ll probably need to book a table, though. The seats are hotter than the meat!

Red Oven

Sathorn

Another hotel restaurant, Red Oven is simple, modern and spacious and located on the 7th floor of Sofitel So, featuring panoramic views and a signature Molteni stove.

It’s designed to fit in with the style of a world food market and offers a wide selection of European and Asian cuisine at its 9 live cooking stations. Even though it’s set up like a buffet, you can still order a tender piece of the best steak in Bangkok or go a la carte.

One of the finest cuts of red meat in this wonderful steakhouse has to be the Australian wagyu beef sirloin. Whether it’s the cooking talent on display or the quality of the beef (or both!), it’s hard to be disappointed by what’s on offer at Red Oven.

If you’re hankering for something in addition to your steak, you can find sushi, seafood, cold cuts, salads, bread collections and every hot plate of food imaginable at the cooking stations.

You’ll also find a divine selection of desserts to enjoy after your main meal while soaking up the buzzing atmosphere.

Eat Me

Soi Convent

Walk 20 metres off Convent or until you arrive at Soi Pipat 2 to find the award-winning restaurant, Eat Me. It was actually number 23 in Asia’s 50 best restaurants 2016, so you know you’re always going to be in for a real treat when you eat here.

You can choose to sit indoors in the very sleek restaurant area or dine outside on the balcony to enjoy a delicious array of food.

When it comes to their steaks, you could opt for the simply remarkable Australian wagyu beef tenderloin. If sharing steaks are more your thing, the generously sized tomahawk is to die for.

From tempting seafood dishes and meat creations to fusion food and international cuisine, you’re truly spoilt for culinary choices at Eat Me. It’s definitely serving up some of the best steak in Bangkok.

Le Boeuf

Soi Langsuan

The last on our list of best Bangkok steakhouses is Le Boeuf, which specialises in plate after plate of steak and fries.

Depending on what’s in season, you can always expect to be presented with a delicious cut of steak and a healthy serving of their signature Café de Paris sauce. The sauce is butter-based and goes down very nicely with the entrecote steak.

You’ll also get a generous serving of fries and salad to ensure none of that heavenly sauce goes to waste.

Le Boeuf also offers a cracking selection of appetizers, desserts and wines to complete your indulgent meal.

This characterful steakhouse is more of a family-style bistro with gorgeous art nouveau interiors, which might just trick you into thinking you’re dining in France.
