Klai Jakkawan
If you’re looking for something truly original head on over to Klai Jakkawan where the talented studio designer will take your ideas on board and work with you to create a unique custom design.
One of the three skilled tattooists working in three different style niches including script, retro colour work and high detail, will then be selected to ink you up. This place is popular so you’d be wise to book a couple of months in advance. Prices start at 1000 THB.
Klai Jakkawan is located at Ladprao Soi 23 (Ratchadapisek 30) not far from Chatuchak Park and Chatuchak Market and is opend Wednesdays to Sunday from 14:00 – 20:00. The closest BTS Skytrain station is Mo Chit.
All Day Tattoo
The sleek and cutting edge All Day Tattoo studio sets high standards for quality, hygiene, service and creativity. The environment is hip and relaxing, with a big screen TV to keep you entertained while the artistry happens.
Top grade inks and needles are specially imported from the USA, and the three resident artists and regular guest artists offer an impressive array of talent for new and old school designs, Japanese colour pieces, geometric style and tribal designs, lettering, blackwork and linework pieces. Designs can be custom created just for you or inked from a reference.
These guys are also pretty talented at fixing or completely covering up past tattoo slip ups that you’d rather erase from your skin.
Prices vary but the minimum rate for a tat is 2,000 THB, with an hourly rate of 3,000 THB. Fluent English is spoken and bookings can be made online.
All Day Tattoo isn’t open all day as the name suggests, but it is open from 12:00 – 20:00 daily. You’ll find the studio at Sukhumvit 33/1, Soi Villa. The closest BTS Skytrain station is Phrom Phong.

Charoen Krung Road has a burgeoning street art scene, which makes it the ideal location for American born Thai-Japanese mixed media artist and mural artist Luke Satoru’s Black Pig Tattoo studio.
Teaming up with some of Bangkok’s best tattoo artists, Black Pig specialises in intricate, bold and colourful designs with crazy detailing and a retro feel, but they cover all styles including classic, Japanese and geometric.
Prices for a Black Pig ink creation start at 2,000 THB. You’ll need to book your consultation in advance.
Black Pig is open Monday to Friday from 10:00 – 20:00. It’s situated at Charoenkrung Soi 28, just a short walk from Saphan Taksin BTS Skytrain station.
Bubble Brain Tattoo
Tucked away in the chaos of Chatuchak Night Market, Natcha, Ya Bamboo, Mosy and Nu put their incredible tattooing talent to work. These four artists are well established on the Bangkok scene, and combined they have won multiple awards in tattoo competitions.
There’s a focus on clean and simple styles here, with attractive designs, minimal colours and excellent line work. Custom designs are a speciality. Prices depend on the size, style and complexity of the desired tattoo.

Bubble Brain Tattoo studio is at Kamphaeng phet 3 Road, Chatuchak, a five minut walk from Mo Chit BTS station. It’s open from Thursday to Sunday until late – 17:00 to 00:00. Appointments are usually required.

Tattoo OD Studio
Tattoo OD Studio in Thonglor might be teeny tiny, but it’s got a big presence on the Bangkok tattoo scene. There are four resident artists at work here who can create artworks in almost every imaginable style, including tribal, fantasy, geometric, Japanese, portraits, dots, script, and fine line and graphic work.
International tattoo artists are sometimes given guest spots here too.
Tattoo OD really is small and can only accommodate two clients at any one time. That, coupled with its excellent reputation and popularity, means that it’s best to book in advance.
Part owned by the charmingly named Miss Boho, Tattoo OD Studio is situated near to Thonglor BTS station at 2/2 Sukhumvit 53 and is open every day from 13:00 – 21:00. Prices start at 2,000 THB.
BKK Ink Tattoo
Since BKK Ink Tattoo opened its doors in 2009, its status as a quality tattoo studio has grown and as a result it has attracted a highly experienced and competent team.
Award winning artists specialise in everything from oriental tattoos right through to world class hyper realistic designs. Old School, neo traditional, water colour, graphic, script, and blackwork styles are also on offer.
In addition resident traditional artist Keng creates ‘sak yant’ designs, an age old tattoo method of traditional handmade tattoos inked into the skin using a bamboo needle. Prices start at 1,000 THB.

This sweet riverside location in Silom in a converted vintage shophouse is where Common Ground Tattoo Studio calls home. Six international tattoo artists run the show here, and the areas of expertise where this team really excels are the more elaborate, minutely detailed designs — the gothic, fantasy and punk creations are particularly spectacular.
Each month a prominent international guest artist is invited to spotlight at the studio.
Common Ground Tattoo is situated at 300 Rimklongsatorn Road, Bangrak, and is open every day from 10:00 to 22:00 and the best way to get there is to catch the BTS Skytrain to Saphan Taksin and leave by exit 3. Tattoos are priced at a flat rate of 3,000 THB for one hour.
Sak Lai Studio
Gifted husband and wife team Leck and Poo spent years of study in the Big Apple during the 1990s where they learnt their craft from some of the best. When they returned to their home country they brought all of their skill and knowledge to Bangkok.
Leck’s key talent lies in colourful traditional Japanese and Thai style artwork, while Poo is particularly proficient in tribal designs. Both artists love creating custom tattoos to reflect their clients’ personalities.
Sak Lai is a highly esteemed studio and it can get pretty crowded, so booking a few weeks in advance is recommended.
Sak Lai tattoos start at 2,000 THB. The studio can be found on the 2nd Floor of the Lido Theatre in Siam Square, and it open Monday to Saturday from 12:00 to 19:00.
