So These New Reeboks Are Inspired By Bangkok Tuk-Tuks…

There’s nothing like a bit of Bangkok-inspired creativity to get us fired up about the wonders of our city.

And it looks like we Bangkokians aren’t the only one to appreciate the city’s incredible singularity – sneaker giants Reebok and 24 Kilates have teamed up to create a sneaker that captures the spirit of Bangkok.

The starting point for their design? The humble tuk-tuk, of course!

The red, yellow and blue colour scheme certainly harks back to that of the tuk-tuk, although it’s possible that the sneaker may be of marginally better quality than some of the three-wheeled vehicles heaving about our sois, with its exterior design made from suede and leather.

24 Kilates have spearheaded the special release in order to celebrate their tenth anniversary and the opening of their new shop in Bangkok. They’ve used the Reebok LX 8500 model as the basis for their design, which is now known as 24 Kilates x Reebok LX 8500 Bangkok.

The sneaker will be on special release from 12 March in 24 Kilates boutiques in Bangkok and Barcelona, enjoying a global release in the following week.
