Sukhumvit Soi 20

Sukhumvit Soi 20 is a bustling soi that joins the neighbourhoods of Asok and Phrom Phong.

Hotels can be found down the length of the street while a number of popular eateries have also made their home down here.

It’s a pretty long soi that joins to Soi 18 before curving around to meet Soi 22 at the end. There are plenty of subsois coming off it too, which are also home to plenty of establishments.

Let’s have a look at the highlights…

Bei Otto

Restaurant

Bei Otto is one of the few German restaurants in Bangkok, and as such, is also thrumming with diners at its location on the corner of Sukhumvit Soi 20. It also does catering and runs a delicatessen.

As well as a traditional German menu, the restaurant holds a variety of special events throughout the years with limited menus showcasing the best of Deutsche cuisine. That includes such events as ‘Chanterelle Week’, a Euro 2016 menu and dishes to celebrate the white asparagus.

Windsor Suites

Hotel

Windsor Suites is an all-suite, luxury hotel that’s particularly popular with business travellers thanks to its inhouse convention centre.

Facilities include a spa, buffet restaurant, boardrooms, a big swimming pool, sauna and gym.

Basilico Pizzeria

Restaurant

Basilico is an Italian restaurant on Soi 20 (and there is another branch on Soi 33). They are especially well known for their pizza, which they make in front of diners in their open pizza oven in the centre of the restaurant.

Bally’s Studio Sukhumvit

Hotel

Bally’s provide suites and one-bedroom suites, complete with kitchenettes, towards the end of Sukhumvit Soi 20.

According to their website, rates start from just under 1,200 baht a night providing you book 7 days before check in. Although you’re not far from the Sukhumvit Road here, the suites are just tucked away enough to provide quiet and relaxing accommodation.

Koi

Restaurant

Koi is a contemporary Japanese restaurant found about half way down the soi. They describe their menu as ‘authentic Japanese cuisine with Californian accents.’

As well as the normal restaurant, there are two private hire VIP rooms on the second floor for parties of up to 25 guests.
