Sukhumvit Soi 47 is a relatively long soi in Thonglor that eventually winds around to meet Soi 43 and the rest of the Thonglor odd-sois network.
The major highlight here is the Rain Hill shopping centre, on the corner with Sukhumvit Road, which is full of restaurants and a couple of stores. It’s a popular location on weekday and weekend evenings.
There are plenty of apartment buildings and, of course, the Moroccan Consulate.
Let’s have a look at what else is happening on Soi 47.
Rain Hill 47 is a five storey — plus two underground parking levels — so-called ‘lifestyle mall’ on Sukhumvit Soi 47. The top floor is given over to apartments.
Units include Au Bon Pain, Wine Connection, Yankee Candle, Boots, HOBs and Shuffle.
Grand Miami is a luxury serviced apartment 8-storey block on Soi 47. There are 48 residences ranging from 1 to 3 bedroom suites, up to a generous 140 square metres.
Facilities include a rooftop swimming pool, gym, cafe and a complimentary tuk tuk shuttle.
Near Equal is a small Thai restaurant on Soi 47, that enjoys consistently good reviews for its good, homestyle Isaan food and beautiful old-style Thai house setting.
The first floor is the restaurant, while the ground floor is given over to a shop selling homemade crafts.
