Sukhumvit Soi 51

In the heart of Thonglor, Sukhumvit Soi 51 is a short soi that eventually bends around to meet its longer neighbour, Soi 49.

Despite its comparatively short length, there are a handful of spots of interest along here, including a number of condo and apartment buildings and the popular Wells International School and Kindergarten.

Let’s have a look at the highlights.

Studio Lam is a Bangkok institution on Sukhumvit Soi 51 that’s known for its incredible music, fun ambience and well-priced drinks.

DJ sets and live music nights are a regular occurrence, but Studio Lam is best known for its patronage of traditional Thai music, including Isaan and Molam. These traditions are innovatively infused with more modern sounds to bring together a diverse and interested audience.

The best known live band that frequent Studio Lam is probably The Paradise Bangkok Molam International Band.
