Right next door to the huge Soi Thonglor is Sukhumvit Soi 57 — a much smaller street than its neighbour!
The major hot spot on this road is the Bangkok Marriott Hotel Sukhumvit right on the corner, which we’ll discuss in detail.
It’s a bit quieter down here than some of the larger and rowdier parts of Thonglor, but you’re still only moments away from the thick of the action.
Let’s take a look at the highlights.
Bangkok Marriott Hotel Sukhumvit
Hotel
The Marriott hotel on Soi 57 is one of the most popular luxury hotels in the city. They have 6 room types available, ranging from a deluxe room to a 2 bedroom presidential suite, which comes with added extras like daily evening canapes, daily open bar, complimentary cocktails and a daily afternoon tea.
In terms of facilities, there’s a large spa, rooftop pool, whirlpool and a comprehensive fitness centre. Meeting and wedding facilities are also available. Dining outlets include the all-day dining at 57th Street, The District Grill Room & Bar, Octave Rooftop and Bar (to be discussed) and the Chocolate Cake Company.
Octave Rooftop & Bar
Bar/Restaurant
Octave is found at the very top of the Marriott hotel, ranging from the 45th to the 49th floor with 360° panoramic views across the city. As well as the rooftop areas, there are also a few levels below of restaurant and bar, a lounge and a private room.
Marriott Executive Apartments
Hotel/Serviced Apartments
Also on Sukhumvit Soi 57 is the Marriott Executive Apartments — fully furnished apartments each with a kitchen, storage and 24-hour security. They have one, two and three bedroom units available. It also offers a full service spa, gym, and swimming pool.
