The major thoroughfare in Ekkamai is Sukhumvit Soi 63 and is the sister soi, if you will, to Thonglor’s Sukhumvit Soi 55.
Restaurants, coffee shops and bars abound down here, including out of Soi 63’s very many subsois. It’s a very popular neighbourhood with young, affluent expats and wealthy Thais — or really anyone with a desire to live in a creative hub.

The Coffee Club is a international restaurant chain serving up all-day breakfast and other such dishes, as well as some truly delicious coffees. It’s situated on the corner of Sukhumvit Soi 63 and the main road, just opposite BTS Ekkamai.

Wine Bibber Sangria

On Ekkamai 2 Alley is the brilliant Wine Bibber Sangria, a wine bar and live music venue. It’s a popular venue for all the cool kids in town and continually holds events like the fabulous Go Grrls and hosts plenty of live bands.
It’s been around since 1995 and describes itself as a ‘music bar and discotheque’.

Opposite Wine Bibber is the Ink & Lion, a coffee shop cum cafe. It’s only open from Saturday to Tuesday but is well known for its deliciously creamy coffees and gorgeous homemade cakes.

Health Land is a popular Thailand spa chain that offers a variety of treatments, massage, facial and spa. This is one of their Bangkok branches on Ekkamai Soi 10.

Peace Oriental is a Japanese teahouse on Soi 63 which also has an online shop to buy exclusive matcha teas — described as ‘Matcha for perfectionists’ — and other premium roasts and leaves.
They’re also serving delicious oriental desserts with the latest being the authentic Thai Foi Tong.

Hagakure is an authentic Japanese restaurant on Ekkamai Soi 6. Sushi, sashimi — you name it, they have it. Set menus are also available.

This is a cutesy, almost Alice In Wonderland-style, cafe, dessert parlour and coffee shop on the corner of Ekkamai Soi 10 and Sukhumvit Soi 63. Their cakes are notoriously creative and imaginative.

Dark is a popular nightlife venue towards the end of Sukhumvit Soi 63 that is open every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights. The interior is very ‘Ekkamai’ — i.e. chic, rustic and a little rough around the edges.
